The Department of Information Technology and Computer Science is a young and dynamic one. It aims at providing Uganda and the World with a skilled and innovative workforce of IT professionals. Since its inception in August 2012 todate, we have ensured that good quality, appropriate teaching has been provided to our students and the community around us. Through quality research and effective teaching, students graduating/will graduate from the department command respect in the IT sector not only within Uganda but also on an International level. A major focus and key goal of the department is to ensure that community based education programs are central to our ethos and we now have a reputation for good quality, community orientated education and skills. With a steadily creasing highly skilled and motivated team, whose goal is to excel within all arenas of Computing and through our programs i.e Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc.IT) and Diploma in Computer Science and Information Technology (Dip. CSIT) alongside our desire to have produce IT Professionals who are For and With the Community, in ICT, we now provide young competitive well rounded students to the human workforce. Complementing our Undergraduate programs, we also provide entry level and technical short courses, which can either be used as a stepping stone into IT or to help consolidate knowledge of existing IT professionals.
